After recovering from a shoulder reconstruction surgery, Kazakhstan 2018 was my first international tournament.
The competition was hosted by the Heritage Sport Organization of Kazakhstan, whose main focus is preserving traditional horse riding sport and falconry.
We arrived in Astana’s beautiful, modern capital as a three-person Team. Myself, Jaco Jacobs and Daniel Griffin.
The track layout, broadcasting, and traditional ceremonies were breathtaking.
This was a well-organised competition with awesome infrastructure. All horses were stallions that were very well-tamed and very well-behaved.
We made awesome friends and had such a good time.
